New video portal

In regards to my earlier post about either changing my original Youtube account to a new name, or making a new account instead, I opted for the new account.

I think I made the right choice.

Nothing is up yet, but I’ll be uploading material that is relevant for Studio Wisp, which includes some of my work from my time at TAFE since last year.

Click here for the new channel.

I will still upload to my own Youtube account as well as this, but the Studio Wisp account will be used for any of the work anyone who collaborates with in Studio Wisp in the future. (which at the time being is just me and my partner).

MOOOOAAARRRR work up soon!

But on a side to commemorate the upload. I’m going to upload an entire 2 chapters from Samurai 2020 for you all to enjoy.

Youtube name change, or just a new account would work!

I’m going to see if I can get my original Youtube account to be changed to a different title. But I may instead opt for making a new account instead of changing the screen name from “Hell Scyth”. Yeah, that online name is from real old days.

If I do opt for making a Studio Wisp Specific page (which I’m thinking is the way to go), then I will re-upload related works, and since I’m still saving my Data Limit here by using it as my portal for videos, the future Lightwave tutorials when compiled and with permission given, will appear there.
I’ll post up tomorrow when I get the decision.

Tutorials

The project me and a classmate are working on is going along to plan, and the teacher we’re directing the work with doesn’t mind us doing whatever we want with them after. So in 4 weeks (and that’s 4 weeks because that happens to be our deadline), I’ll be linking in some Tutorials here for Lightwave. So if you’re thinking of using Lightwave, then you can tune in, and hopefully learn a new trick or two.

Word Press screwing things around

Something has gone wrong and currently the only method of navigation is using the messy bar along the right display of the website, instead of the convenient navigation drop-downs up the top.

Please ignore the random theme changes, miss-placed widgets and lay-outs and any other random nonsense while I play doctor and fix things up again.

Also to come, I feel like making an inspiration page, filled with what I find inspiring and if I’m in the mood, a reason why. Hopefully the things I find can inspire you all as well.

-EDIT-
And it’s fixed… not sure what was going on, but it’s fixed.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!! o.O

Well, I’ve been at AG Idea’s 2011 this past week from Tuesday onward to Thurs, and during it I’ve been enjoying the refreshing perspectives on design from a multitude of talents and point of views.

Has this inspired me? Well, I’d say it has. Though what I conjure up during my sleep-deprived hysteria of creativity of the course of the week following while my mind is still bubbling freshly with imagery is not something I can say is known, and wont be known until it happens, at which point however, I must note that the reasons behind whatever comes up may very well not be known.

And if that got you a little confused, then try reading it backwards, then read it normally. Repeat until you gt your own meaning, or perhaps you will get so reveled up in confusion that you can express it in your own imaginative way.

… see what I did there?… no, that’s a legit question. Please tell me.

But in other news, there is an odd collaboration of though within a group composing of me, my partner, and a couple of friends, that we dress up as Penguins and roam about Melbourne asking people where we can find some ice and fish, with the concept for our operation to be gaining awareness for the Melbourne aquarium. Or, so at least we would hope so. But this is all random discussion, and it can go either way, but I am deeply considering going up to the manager there and proposing this idea, and if they’re happy, perhaps they can provide some suits, rather than us having to make oddly fashion tailored suits from Tux’s, bow ties, and whatever we can find for a beak.

On a last note I’d like to note that any further note is a note in which we may note the notice of changes.
Think about it, and you tell me what you think it means? And if you live in Melbourne and know somewhere where Penguin costumes are available, pop me a message, and I will send you a magical reply message of happy thank you which comes with a free imaginary ice-cream.

World9-4

My work for World 9-4 is done and uploaded. There’s still a little extra work to do for them, but as that sequence wont be over 400mb, I can send it to my client, rather than this little workaround.

But with this out of the way, I can get back to working on other projects, like the extended version of the Class of 2011, and the video tutorials me and a friend are collaborating on.

So more work to come soon! And hope you all have a great long weekend 😀

Changing novel heirachy

To free some space, after each Section of Samurai 2020 comes to a close, I will merge the pages together. When the novel is finished, I’ll then clean that into one page as done with Experiment.

This is just to make space. No other reason. When I upload future novels I’ll do a similar thing. Depending on how I’ve constructed out the book, it’ll be each part to a chapter on it’s own page before being merged to make room for the next chapter set. And if it’s a straight chapter, then I’ll post up all the chapters on their own page until it gets crowded (so probably 4-5 of them) before I merge them together.

And that’s all the news for today! Unless you want to know how I managed to ruin cooking chocolate. But that’s not something you readers reeeaaallly want to read now… is it? o.O

New work for Podcast

I’ve talked it over with a couple of friends who do a Podcast called World 9-4, and they’ve agreed to have me create an animated introduction for them. It wont be paid work, it’s entirely for fun and to get more practice and folio work up.

I’ll be doing this animation using 3d and classic sprites from the old Mario Snes games, so it’ll have a nice retro look to it, and the deadline I’ve set myself is by May, so this’ll be a sidelong task I’ll conform to along with my Entry for Corridor Digital.

Semester Break!? That means MOOORRREEEE WORK!

That’s right, I have 2 more days of work before my semester break, which means 2 weeks of time to complete work. I’ve got some fresh ideas brewing, and now even some Matte Painting to complete. Something I’m not entirely great at, but I’ll certainly give it my best shot, even if the image will only be used for a short time in a scene.

Also thinking on a little Easter animation, just as soon as I work out how to make better use of the particles and hyper voxels within lightwave to make something… “creamy”… If I can somehow pul that rabbit out of a hat, it should effectively stimulate the receptors in the brain that command that you eat… particularly, “rich, gooey caramel flowing lusciously from smooth milk chocolate”.

… now I’m feeling a little bit peckish at that thought, I’ll finish this post and go grab a snack to FUEL CREATIVITY!!

Late novels, and more updates

Again, I must apologise for late novels. This time I’d forgotten to even set up the next page to be published at the due time. But this is due to a fast paced last 2 weeks before the break, and during this last week I’ve pumped through a lot of work, and managed to learn some new 3d animation tricks which once rendered and finished will be uploaded along with all other finished work some time around the end of next week.

I’m also going to attempt to complete a competition by Corridor Digital. Though I’m more giving it a go to challenge myself to get creative the the materials given to be used, and it’ll also be interesting to see if I can go along with my plans before the due entry date of April 21st.

More updates to come later next week.
